INTRODUCTION TO BSL
IN PERSON OR ONLINE WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE TO ASSIST YOU WITH THE BASIC COMMUNICATION AND EVERY DAY WORDS IN SIGN LANGUAGE. THIS IS A 10 WEEK COURSE THAT CAN BE HIRED BY ALL/ANY ORGANISATION, PRIVATE HIRE OR EVENT |
PERFORMANCE
PRIVATE HIRE OF MYSELF AS A PERFORMER FOR ANY / MUSIC EVENTS. THE SIGNING CHOIR ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR HIRE (SUBJECT TO VENUE LOCATION) The choir performs like any other choir but rather than sing with their voices, they sing with their hands in British Sign Language/Sign Supported English, while telling a visual story behind the song they are “Singing”.
Singers express the song through the pitch, tone and emotion of their voices, Song Signing performers do the same with their hands, body and facial expressions, it is a visual spectacular for the senses. |
Song Signing is also a great way for the local children's community gruops such as Rainbows, Brownies, Girl Guides, Scouts, Beavers, Rangers, St John Ambulance etc to create an activity towards their communication badges, inclusion badges and helping to break social isolation.
You can now learn the basics in the comfort of your own home. these 10 easy and fun videos are a great way to introduce you to sign language and can help you at a fraction of the cost.
Song Signing is now available nationwide via zoom. Every MONDAY evening, come and join us for just 1 hour, learn a song in sign language and improve your communication skills without the stress of a classroom
The Communication Hub
Every Tuesday and Saturday 10am - 1pm we run communication Hub where the community are welcomed in to gain support and advice regarding any communication issues or difficulties they may be facing.
The hub is fully run by our Song Signing Academy volunteers and the doors are open to all walks of life.
We currently have support from local organisations and other charities
We hold a number of activities to encourage social interaction and peer support.

The Parent And Carers Meeting
This amazing new group has been brought in for parents and carers of all aged and abilities children to gain peer and professional support and guidance regarding communication with their children.
We meet once a month, 1st Saturday of every month 10am - 12 noon and FREE beverages and snacks are provided.
Parents and Carers are encouraged to either bring their children along for come for independent peer support.
This amazing new group has been brought in for parents and carers of all aged and abilities children to gain peer and professional support and guidance regarding communication with their children.
